See the city with different eyes and rediscover Munich's corners. You can experience this at ÜberKopf - ein performativer Stadtspaziergang (OverHead - a performative city walk) on the weekend of 14 and 15 September 2024.

What interesting places are there in Munich and how can I use them differently than usual? How can circus take place in everyday places?

Six Munich artists set off with this question in mind. The different corners and small niches provided the inspiration and so a separate, site-specific performance was developed for each location. The opportunities on site, such as benches, railings and fences, are utilised and played with the language of the circus. Each artist thus brings a place to life and allows the audience to see it with different eyes. The result is a mixture of contemporary circus, movement art and theatre, which can be seen during the performative city walk.

ÜberKopf will take place on the weekend of 14 & 15 September 2024
Several performances per day,
- Saturday, 14 September at 1.00 pm(canceled), 3.30 pm(cancelled) and 6.00 pm
- Sunday, 15 September at 1.00 pm (extra show), 3.30 pm and at 6.00 pm
ÜberKopf can only take place as an open-air event in almost dry conditions
The city walk is approx. 2 kilometres long and lasts approx. 90 minutes
The route starts at the European Patent Office (close to the "Museumsinsel", Bus Station Baaderstraße, at the silver balls) and ends at the Fat Cat (old Gasteig)
One performance location is only accessible via stairs
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required as a certain group size may not be exceeded.
Please inform us, if you cannot use your reserved ticket (ueberkopf.muc@gmx.de). We can then give your ticket to someone else.
