Circus Artist / Trainer
Johannes Böhringer

After a successful start last year, "ÜberKopf" is back. It will happen again on the 30./31. of August and the 6./7. of September.
You can see the city with different eyes and rediscover Munich's corners. What interesting places are there in Munich and how can we use them differently than usual? How can circus take place in everyday places?
Six Munich artists set off with this question in mind. The different corners and small niches provided the inspiration and so a separate, site-specific performance was developed for each location. The opportunities on site, such as benches, railings and fences, are utilised and played with the language of the circus. Each artist thus brings a place to life and allows the audience to see it with different eyes. The result is a mixture of contemporary circus, movement art and theatre, which can be seen during the performative city walk.
